I watched tonight, thought that they were all very good.
Like MM I fear for Christine and Jodie.

Pleased that John and Kristina did a farewell Waltz, which I am sure was enjoyed by all.

I was sorry that he left the show, would have prefered that he was voted out, but at least all the moaners won't be able to moan at hos dancing anymore. Loved his comment to/about the judges.

Am quite nervous for all the girls, but I still don't have a favourite this year.

Morning folks,
Last nights show was very good, although I didn't think that Rachel and Vincent deserved 4 10's, I found their routine lacked abit of oommph, Now Tom's and Camila's had all the drama and passion that I think is required for the Tango. I enjoyed Christina and Matt's Cha cha cha, and also Lisa's and Brendan's Quickstep. I too fear for Christina and Jodie as I think they will be in the dance off.

Morning everyone - glad to see you all back !! Sorry, Mau at the Coast, didn't mean to refer to you as ETC but as I was typing my comments, just couldn't recall the names of all the regulars who post on this thread. Am I forgiven? I don't have an out and out favourite this year but do think that Tom, Austen and Rachel are the better dancers, although I must admit to not 'taking' to Tom. However, I think the final could be a two-man one as up until recently Rachel hasn't fared particularly well with the judges. As there was a female winner last year, I think perhaps a two-man final would suit the judges. Interesting isn't it? Once again, being the impatient so-and-so that I am, I know the result for last night but as normal will keep my mouth shut !! See you all next Saturday hopefully. I do look forward to the replies on this thread - so many differing views and all put on here with good grace and no bitching. Very refreshing.

Wonderful Show, Judges seemed to be a lot happier, I suppose now John has gone they do not feel they are hitting their heads against a brick wall.

Watched Have I got news for you, and Quentin Letts said John did it for publicity, which OH and I have said all along. He said he will get a lot of After Dinner speeches, engagements now.

Was glad he came and did a last waltz, which I think he did properly, and was not messing about.

Della,

Was it Cranbrook Hall, the other dancing place?

Did you ever go to Manor Hall, Chigwell. That was another nice place, but think it was only for private functions.?

Of course I'll forgive you er what's your name again ;O) Margaret lol.........I wish they'd do the show with results at the end,I know of their reasons but I hate waiting till Sunday for the dance offs!!

Read this morning John is going on a cruise, giving after dinner speeches,so methinks he still has lots to smile about. It was Kristina I felt sorry for,she put a lot of time and patience into the routines.Looking forward to (hopefully)seeing her next series.

Mau,
yes I agree with you, I hope that Kristina is back for next years series and that they give her someone decent to dance with so that we can see her true dancing skills.

Midlands Margaret - you say you have not 'taken' to Tom. Naturally we all have here in Derbyshire, but spare us a thought, well those of us that listen to our local Radio station. Every Monday morning, they interview either his mum/his dad/his uncle/and his aunt. Even for me it is getting abit boring. Talk about 'over egging the pudding'. Lord preserve us. If he doesn't win, I am sure the Radio station will have a wake, with flags at half mast.
Happy watching

Wow that was absolutley brilliant, Best Dance routine I've seen in all of the series, even better than the Dirty Dancing on last year.

Why oh why are all best looking men G*Y. My blood pressure has gone through the roof.

There was no contest there, Lisa and Brendan were the better couple, Jodie looked very laboured and was struggling.

I thought tonight was the best ever - John Barrowman - why oh why does he have to bat from the pavilion end!!!! And that exhibition dance that Vincent did - the Malinga - what a fantastic dance!! I was on cloud nine all night watching it - have recorded it so I can watch it all over again

Dread to think who'll go next week cos they are all excellent now

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 23 Nov 2008 23:53

Was very surprised Lisa was in dance off, thought it would be Christine. Although both did well Lisa was imho the best dancer.

Helen
I loved Kristina's dance with Brian, she's fabulous!

Still want Rachel & Vincent in final!

Absolutely agog at the exhibition dance by Flavia and Vincent. Fabulous. John Barrowman isn't my favourite person so I nipped to the kitchen to make a coffee whilst he was on !! I think next week onwards is going to be rather nerve-jangling as they are all now so good. See you folks Saturday.

Just been to hairdressers, and people in there saying instead of having John doing a last Waltz, they should have had all those who were voted out, that were better than John back to choose who was best out of the bunch to take his place.
A thought, but suppose it would have taken too much organizing.

Agree with you Brummie, about the Gay ones, as I have always said, what a waste of a good guy.
The nice ones though, always treat us older ladies with great respect, and are very good friends.

Flavia and Vincent's dance was breath taking.
I wish that I had been able to tape it. I am no where near an expert but that must be the best dance I have ever seen.

I think that I would have been saddened by whoever had gone this week. They are all pretty good now and most of them have made vast improvements.

I missed Take Two last night as I wasss out celebrating my birthday. How were Jodie and Ian?
They seem to make a lovely friendly pair.

Midlands Margaret, are you sure that we are not related? Other than you saying that you know the results before the results program is aired on a Sunday evening, you seem to say most of the things I want to say, you just get there before me.
e.g. I went to make a cup of coffee when John Barryman was on this week too!
I can't quite "take" to Tom either.

Looking forward to seeing Saturday nights offering.

I have no idea who will go this week, although Christine may be the weakest of the dancers, she seems to have the popular vote. And after all she isn't too bad really.

I hope no one cracks under the strain of learning and performing two dances.

Looking forward to seeing all the dresses too, they always look stunning,

Just read an article in the Daily Mail indicating that Karen Hardy may quit Strictly and seems to suggest it is because of Gary Rhodes !! Anyway it also covers some of Karens life and apparently she has had cancer and is in remission. If you want to read it, this is the link
http:/www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...quit-show.html

Am looking forward as usual to tonight's show and am sitting here wondering who will go out. I have mixed feelings - Christine seems to be the weakest but has a massive fan-base, Lisa has been in the dance-off twice but is highly rated by the judges, Rachel has hit a high the past two weeks but that can't last forever and she unfortunately has not faired well with the judges until recently, whereas the two guys seem to sit well with all three judges. Very very hard to decide. Will be back later to see what everyone thinks of the show tonight.
