hiya folks,
just realised that I didn't put any comments up on the results show on Sunday, i thought that it was a fair decision this week. Mark was the worse dancer.

Just to let you know that I won't be on at the weekend. My niece is getting married on Saturday so we are having the weekend away. It will be a big family get-together, it's hubby's sister's daughter and hubby is one of 7 children so there will be 40 members alone just from that.
So have a good weekend and catch you all soon.

Well, I really enjoyed the show tonight - it seems to be 'warming up' and getting back some of the old sparkle. Even Bruce made me laught tonight !!!!!!!
Didn't agree with everything the judges said tonight about some of the contestants but on the whole their judgement was correct. On the basis of what I saw tonight I would think Andrew and John again are in peril, possibly heather and Cheri borderline. If it does come down to John and Andrew in the bottom two, I can't make up my mind who the judges will save. Be an interesting result this week I feel.

Mauatthecoast Report 1 Nov 2008 20:21

Some very good contestants this year, hard to pick as a winner at the moment.
I loved Austin,Lisa and Tom,but was disappointed in Rachel and Vincent's Jive.
They were too much down on the floor, Jive danced properly looks better when couple are facing and dancing tightly together, though I do like them.

Yes John or Andrew to dance off.
Cherie doesn't dance well in fast numbers does she?

Mauatthecoast Report 2 Nov 2008 23:12

Well no surprises there then? bye bye Andrew!

Surely John will go next week,it's so unfair to have Heather in the last dance offs!

Margaret Report 3 Nov 2008 08:02

Thought both contestants danced much better in the dance-off than they did in the actual contest. Because they both upped their game, I wouldn't have wanted to choose between them !! Agree John can't hang on much longer but I suppose it all depends of what dances they all have next week. If Jodie for example has a jive and John a nice smooth ballroom dance, then she could be in trouble, but if John has a latin dance, he will be in trouble. Getting quite interesting. See you all next week folks.

OH and I just sit and laugh at John, I wonder if so many people keep him in because of the laughs. When he dragged his partner across the floor last week, we cried with laughing.

Thought Brendan and Lisa were good and what a change to have real tango music, this time.
La Compasita, remembering dancing to this years ago.

It is still mostly a popularity contest at this stage which is why John gets voted in each week. people like him because he has an old wordly charm. I hope that common sense prevails next week though because it is a dance contest and her really should be voted off.

I so hope John does not get the Rumba, which I understand is one of tonight's dances.

Mrs G and I have fallen out with it recently.

You either make it a public vote, in which case the most popular contestants will win or allow the judges to decide with the most talented couple winning.

I gather that the Sunday dance off was introduced because the program makers were worried that the popular couples with lesser ability were getting more votes than those who could actually dance. It does at least allow the judges to make their decision, if only between the last two couples.

Our other beef is that the judging panel is getting to be stale and boring too. Why not bring in another judge each series. At least you would get a fresh view.

Well, I enjoyed the show again tonight and although I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him for the pure entertainment value, bless him John really must go after tonight's efforts. Hope you all enjoyed the show too.

Mauatthecoast Report 8 Nov 2008 23:11

I really enjoyed show tonight, lots of contenders this year, standard is very high.

John and Jody for bottom two. I think John should go now.......wonder if he's being kept in because of male voters for Kristine?;O)

I think the dresses are fantasic too.

I too, think that John should go.
It has been fun watching his attempts, but the others are much better at dancing.

Have to confess, that I have only voted once. (It was not for John).
So perhaps I will have no right to moan if two of the better dancers are in the dance-off.

I hope that Heather isn't in the bottom two this week. Thought that she really upped her game this week. It would be difficult for her to dance better in a dance off.

I only vote on the last night when there are just two left. As I think that all of them are so good. With the exception of John of course. I just dont know who is best at this stage.

Once again I know the result but won't spoil it for anyone except to say it wasn't what I was expecting.

Sorry I wasn't on last weekend, it was a brilliant weekend at the wedding, had a wonderful time, but was so exhausted last Sunday I didn't come on here.

Well I've just seen the review of last night's dances and was surprised at some of the scores, I thought Austin and Erin's routine certainly deserved more points than what they got. Loved Tom and Camila's, and Lisa and Brendan's routines and they both deserved to be top.
I think that the final two tonight will be Heather and John.
