I wonder if its possible for us to meet - seriously?

Not sure where some of you live, I know where one of you lives.

Perhaps a London meet or somewhere central to us all. Of course if any of you are out of the British Isles that may be a bit difficult lol.

Tina xx

Edit - ~~~~~goodnight~~~~~~ to Marilyn

Well I am East Midlands (Kettering ) I know Marilyn is Devon.I can just picture it .Meet at a motorway services and a long queue for the loo before any introductions lol.Actually the meet would most likely be in that queue !!!!!(I'm Just looking at the spelling of queue) is that right ??.It looks odd.

Arctic Blond you have made me laugh.

The only time I get to have a "bath" is when the family sized swimming pool comes out in the summer and I INSIST on hot water and bubble bath. My sister and I wallow until our fingers and toes are wrinkly lol.

The pool is covered with a gazebo and I always position it so I can grab hold of one pole and pull and lean on the chair next to it. (and no I am not pole dancing) lol

I did one year when I was more agile get the pool out and could not be bothered to get the gazebo out so ended up with severe sunburn. The GP asked how on earth I managed to get burnt like that, I told him I was in the paddling pool in the garden. His eyes widened and I am sure he coughed and spluttered, when I told him it was a family sized paddling pool. I think he had visions of a middle aged obese woman in a little two ring blow up childs paddling pool! lol

The pool did not come out last year as the weather was not good enough, so I am hoping for a "bath" this year pmsl.

Other than that its a jolly good shower - thank goodness for them I say, otherwise you would smell me a mile off lol

Helen, yes, we probably would be all queued up for the loos lol

Hi girls, just thought i'd pop back before i go up for an early night...and it is early for me.

What lovely ladies and what wit! Reading all the posts since i went for my bath and i couldn't stop smiling. You see that's the difference with the older ladies, we have lived...boy have we lived!! That's why we have so much to say...or is that another way of saying we like a bloody good moan!!

Well whatever, you have all given me a lovely laugh and i always feel cheered after reading all the posts. Little did i realise how many nice friends would all join up on here, discussing our bodies in such a way. Being serious though, it really does help (speaking for myself) to gather advice and know all these strange things that are starting to happen to me are all perfectly normal.

Really hope our thread keeps going, it's not my thread it's OUR thread, 'cos without the input from you all it would have dried up.

Speak soon.

Morning ,I'm am still chuckling at the visions of Tina and AB lol
Not a good start today .Had a lovely walk with the dog for a while until I bent down to pick up what he had left behind, and as I was being a good citizen he was busy rolling in what a fox had left !!!!!!! I had a rather smelly drive home.
Well that has set me up nicely for the day.On the good side it looks like it is going to be a beautiful one.Back later.

Afternoon girls, hope you're all well and enjoying this lovely sunshine. I had a lay in today (got up 10.30) as I'm working a night shift tonight. it's not too bad actually, 9.30pm-7.30.am, then I'm not in again until thursday night. Had dreams again last night, not quite as vivid as the other night though! Don't usually dream that much...well I do during the day! Always been a day dreamer, so can't put that down to the change.

Afternoon All,

Well I got up at 1.30am to get a cup of tea....I was so hot.....a cold and hot flushes...nice!!

I read somewhere that you get skin tags where clothing rubs......don't think I want to go without my bra though....the supermarket freezer would become a no go area for a start......leaning over with no support.....no!!!!....and no fast turns either!!! lol

My face was covered in freckles as a girl......gran always said to wash them in parsley water to fade them??? I think I tried it, but once probably wasn't enough. lol

Now I have purply red patches on my thighs.....lovely!! I think they are called spider veins....the doc said it was hormonal, but I had them when on HRT and I have them without HRT so what hormones does he mean??? I read somewhere you can have them zapped, but my patches seem quite big. Well, long shorts it is then......even in the hot tub!!!! lol

What happened to all those pretty, high heels I used to wear with tiny little heel straps and buckles?? My feet have turned into splayed flippers with chippolatas attached now, 2 sizes bigger and wider!! I only care about comfort now and being able to put them on without bending down!!!! lol

Well, I'm going to do my wii fit now...see what porkies it tells me about my age today......then a long soak in the bath and get my legs......well I used to say de-fuzzed......perhaps I should try OH's hair clippers??

Jane Report 20 Apr 2009 17:31

I have now had my afternoon giggle reading the last few posts
I thought I would soak my feet in a bowl on the patio.Must do something about the skin on my heels now sandals are on.That was fine ,then put nice lotion on them. That was fine too.So I thought while my nails were soft I would get the clippers and trim them. One foot is dead easy but the nails on the other are like thick horn, you know where they go thick underneath.Well I was gritting my teeth and doing ok until I did something and the end started bleeding all over the place.I now have 3 plasters on it.
Your Hubby's friend sounds a B Nightmare Lorraine!!!.I bet he feels a bit of a plonker right now lol

I gave up trying to do my toe nails 10 years ago, they are very thick and curved, the result of athletes foot in the past apparently, the fungus gets under the nail and thickens it. so I go to the chiropodist every 8 weeks and he cuts and files them. hate having it done, it doesn't hurt but I always think it is going to. He has been known to make my toes bleed too Helen.

I should think your friend looked pretty scary with a bandage on his head anyway Lorraine.

Talk about cutting nails ....today in the garden I trimmed (Posh word ) !! my toe nails, did the right one no trouble at all, then I started on the left one
and ............I could not bend over to do the last two on the end, frighted me I
never knew that I couldn't bend that far over !!

So I have decided I would have to do some bendy exercises as from today !!

Wine first ,so I will be gone for 20 mins.......

Ann my nails are caused by Athletes foot, when I was at school 40 years ago.!!!!..............That just scared me ....40 years since I was at school!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use nailvarnish on them when I wear summer sandals as they are so gross.I have had stuff to use ,but I'm not very good at sticking with it.
