*Phew* *Let me park me b*m on a seat!

Hello Everyone

This is the first time I have got my laptop on today - that is very unusual. I have been mini spring cleaning - hoovered all the stairs, hall and landing, polished the things that needed polishing at the top of the stairs, gave the harp a wipe down and put it at the top of the stairs, where it looks rather impressive as you look up the staircase.

Cooked a mini roast for OH - am fair worn out and my joints are aching now - have over done it!

I have read back the threads from after I logged off yesterday.

Ann - yes you are old enough to be my Mother - but only just! lol

Helen - how did you get on at the hairdressers - did you get any whistles today?

I think I might have to pluck up courage and have my hair done at the hairdressers perhaps next month, we will see - dont hold your breath lol I am getting too old now for a pony tail, it looks a bit gypsyish lol.

Well now I have caught my breath, will have a nosey at what else is going on, on General.

>>>>>>>>>>hastily comes back, just noticed AB's post.

I have the solution AC. I have all my paperwork next to me on the two seater settee - OH has a posh recliner - so I have the settee all to myself.

When we ordered OH's new seat, we saw a lovely footstool - which I am supposed to be resting my legs on ! (As it is quite a high one) But its too nice and big it also has storage - oh bless its cotton socks, its a true blessing in disguise. When peeps unexpectedly knock on the door or ring up saying they will be popping around in 5 mins - up pops the lid - everything is thrown in and hey presto lid closed and the room looks all tidy ! What a cheat eh? LOL

Evening girls, hope you've all had a good day. Just been reading your posts, your better cooks than me that's for sure.

Hubby is watching embarassing bodies on the telly...pergaps he's hoping to see some 'Ladies gardens' as my friend referes to them! I can't watch it, I find it very stomach turning and upsetting as well. The first series made me laugh, you get these people on there who 'apparantly' are too embarassed to go to their GP, but will gladly show their arse on national telly!! Is it me or what?!

With regard to seating arrangements, me and hubby have two, two seater sofas (one each) a chair and a very large pouffe that all match. Blimey we're a bit posh!! LOL

Am 48 and and am finally done and dusted so to speak. Started when I was 40. God what a relief its over. Occasional hot flushes but the arthritis remains. Best thing is Glucosamine Sulphate, its a real help and very cheap. I found that daily Yoga really helped and to run cold water over the wrists when having a hot flush. Good luck ladies, and keep your sense of humour.

Helen, yes I do have a harp. I do *strum* the strings. I am self- teaching myself, am up to 2 fingers on each hand and the thumbs lol. I am practicing Greensleaves at the moment.

It was a 50th birthday gift from OH, a lifeline wish come true. Its a really beautifully carved harp, which I am very proud to own. Only wish I could have a few lessons.

:))

I have a friend who says she likes a strum, but it's a euphemism!

Don't think she plays Greensleeves though!!!!!!!!!!
