I have Victor Meldrew here today lol.He is best staying out of my way.
Ann one of my dreads is having a leg put in plaster for 6 weeks (even a day),and then having the embarrassment of the Yeti emerging !!!!!!!

Hello all, hope you've had a good day. Had a fairly good shift and didn't go to bed until about ten this morning, so slept really well. I'm sitting here with my puffy little eyes and a cup of tea 'coming round' as the saying goes.

I'm so glad this thread has proved popular and on a serious note that will help lots of ladies like myself with lot's of good old common sense advice. I feel better knowing that all this aches and pains are quite normal and all the other stuff that I'm getting. I'm sure plenty are reading this and even if they're not posting it must be helping and reassuring.

Tina, yes I've got one of them too....his flys are a 'vexed area!' LOL ☺

Be back later when I've woken up a bit.

Pam.xxx.

What is it with mens flies? Their minds must be elsewhere lol...."Flying low " was what I think we used to say.
I still have Victor Meldrew with me.Any thoughts as to get rid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.If I didn't have my son and his girlfriend here I would sleep in sons bed tonight.
We talk about us women but when it comes to the men and they won't say what is on their minds it drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!.I may find out in a couple of days.
I think it may be to do with work and he may have had to tell a patient that they are seriously ill,or worse.......So I have to be a bit 'patient' and wait for him to talk when he is ready.

Have you ever sat in a restaurant situated near the loos, or on an aircraft and watched as men come out of the loo? have you noticed how they nearly all put their hand down and look down to check if they have done their flies up? It seems to be automatic.

Jane Report 11 Apr 2009 21:25

Men always check their bits and bobs lol. I don't think we check our nether regions do we ?????.We may have a little shuffle to make sure pants are in the right place ,but we don't grab anything .

Evening folks, Helen am I correct in thinking that you are married to a GP? You are so lucky, you got access to all that advise about the menopause and other such things...plus you don't have to book your appointment through the steely faced old bag of a receptionist like the one who works at my GP'S surgery! And what a salary! You've got it made. ☺

Jane

Jane Report 11 Apr 2009 21:50

Pam ,yes OH is a GP.No not lucky. If I ask for advice ,he says go see your own GP lol.I am with another practice.Salary is good yes ,but no pay increase for the last 4 years!!!! we pay for son at Uni and half daughters mortgage that her ex doesn't pay!!!!!!!!!!.It is a bit like being married to a builder ,or plumber,or whatever ,we are last on the list lol................It is just my age.........I do love him though even if he drives me bloody nuts .28 years in May so there must be something!!

Hi Ann, what you do is...where the space bar is, next to it to the left is a key marked 'Alt' press that and at the same time press '1' on your numbers pad to the right of the main keyboard. Give it a go and if you have the same keypad as me I can give you loads of little symbols! ☺ ☻ ♥ ☼ ♦ ♣ See I'm showing off now!

Yes I guess so, but still very handy to have him around. My husband is an engineer, so he's very useful. He's an exellent engineer too. Gawd I make the poor old fella sound like a dog. we've been married 34 years in October, we were both 20 and 21 respectivley when we married. Don't know why we married so young really, as our first child wasn't born until 1980.

Mine is a chef, well he teaches it now,but he is a godawful cook!

My step-sister(for want of a better word, they weren't married) is married to a GP.As a practicing hypochondriac she often rings me for a advice.I tell her to talk to a good doctor but she says she doesn't know one!
