Thanks Julia and Hi Maggie, yes I did see you on the bird thread and I have seen you on other threads too. Good to see you on this one. I think we all realise that people have real lives and can't always keep their threads going but sometimes it is nice to have a thread like this one where you can pop in and make a comment or have a whinge if you feel like it. There are actually several threads like this one, you just have to stumble on them. Have you all been reading the panto thread? That has had some hysterical moments full marks to WW for starting it and keeping it going.

OK Hazel, thank you for your company and of course you must feed OH. we wouldn't want him to starve on our account.

Awe Donna, how lovely. My OH would have a houseful of Westies. At the moment we have a demented pure black Cocker Spaniel, the worsed colour to have. Pure/solid colours in Spaniels are so unpredictble. She is usually okey, but occassionally has a fit of the vapours, and her nasty temper shows through. We also have two Love Birds,in one cage, but they hate each other, and fight continually. I have kept many breeds of dogs in my lifetime, and couldn't imagine being without one. Take lots of loving care of her.

Donna I love Westies, they are so cute. We don't have any pets at the moment, in our time we have had two dogs and three cats. Our last cat Holly weet to pussy cat heaven three years ago and we have not replaced her as we have been going on holiday quite a bit. We have a very good neighbour who looked after Holly but we started to take month long breaks and felt it wasn't fair to cat or neighbour so reluctantly we have no pets.

I couldn't be without my pets, demanding though they are and incredibly stroppy.

My dog especially is such a gem.

Dear All

Hello

I argee it would be very nice if more people who used GR for family research would also feel able to join in on the General board.

I like the posts where you can add your memories of different things.

It took me a while to pluck up the courage and add a post.
Luckily, the GR members around responded very kindly.

Whatever faith or none, may this special time of the year be a
peaceful one for you and your families.

Take care all

Very best wishes
xx

It is nice to see a few new people posting. I nearly said a few new posters! When I have time I try to add a comment on any unanswered posts, as sometimes it only takes one reply to start a deluge, and then the poster doesnt feel left out. I now feel able to express myself as I would at home and find I am not so out of tune with the rest of the world as I thought I was!

So we are all soft on animals lol.

I shall admit now, finding the latest postings on a thread is confusing me lol...doesnt take alot.

Such a nice thread xx

Donna at the top of the thread click or sometimes you have to click twice on the down arrow last reply. The thread will then invert and the last post will come up first.
