Lovely pics from Shirl and Ann.They are now in my 'folder' or doc or whatever you call it lol. Where is the reservoir Ann?Loved the first pic.
Off to get some nice crusty bread for lunch. That will go nicely with the left over stew from the other night.
Frank I hope that indigestion has shifted now.

Hi Everyone. Ian tired this am although he slept a lot better last night, I think he/we overdid it yesterday, Architect in the morning(house buyer??!!) friends in the afternoon, which was lovely, and then yesterday evening Ian's cousin called, which, again, was lovely, but he did stay a bit (if you know what I mean!!) and I hadn't the heart, and wouldn't be so rude as to ask him to - well -GO!!! anyhow, today, we are having a quiet day, which, as it is raining and blowing here isn't a problem!! I've managed to do my shopping at the village shop, which has pleased them and been useful for me; haven't needed much as we did a big Tesco's shop before the hospital and Ian's appetite isn't very big to say the least!!! Wind still howling, when will it stop?!! 12.05 pm

Afternoon all,
What a windy night. in both senses.!!!! Still got a bit of pain in my chest, but I think thast's the remains of the indigestion. Had my breakfast and a couple of cups of tea.
Ros has poped down to the village hall, fund raising for the scouts. She has just walked in, all set up down there ready for sale to begin at 2.30pm so she will go back then to help on the stalls, I have threatened her not to do to much, or else!!!!
My, how some areas are having this bad weather. We have very strong I must have eaten my dinner to quick on Wednesday.winds, but no rain. I see up north they have had 4" of rain plus the winds.
I bet your nose was running this morning Jane, let alone your eyes!!! Yes Jane I take 10 tablets in the morning 4 during the day and 5 at night. been doing that for seven years, so don't think that is the problem.
We sat and watched an old FROST on ITV 3 last night. 2 hours 20 minutes long. Like being at the cinema. I still like the oldies.
Trust you are all able to keep your wigs on in all this wind.

2 brilliant emails Frank!!!!!!!!. It was Chris who got the runny nose and eyes this morning. It's my day off walkies. He is now battling to put the greenhouse back together again lol.
Liz it does sound as though poor Ian needs a quiet one doesn't it.I think after any op you think you are doing fine ,but it is just too easy to do that bit too much . Lovely sun here ,no rain ,but ee by gum that wind!!!! I'm glad you are rid of yours now Frank.
So much for me just getting some crusty bread .I have come back £47 lighter.I don't know what I have bought lol

Afternoon All,
Still blowing like mad here........must go up the garden and see if there's any damage later. A few more leaves have come off the cordylines at the front, but I noticed a smaller one up the road was completely brown as we drove by this morning. Strangely warm considering how windy it is. Not needed any heat on yet today.
Glad your indigestion has gone Frank. I had a tummy pain most of yesterday, but took a Re*nies when I went to bed and it has gone now. I think I ate quite late for me the night before.........can't do it anymore!!
The reservoir is at Thornton Jane. We were hoping to go out in one of those little rowboats this summer, but I noticed the other day that they are only for anglers!! I might ask though on a day when there are hardly any anglers about wanting them. I have never seen OH row and he mixes up his lefts and rights so it would be interesting. lol
Yes, he looks at home with his pint Mel! We had just been laughing as the chairs where we went were a really 'very' snug fit. I had thought I must be getting bigger in the bottom area, but it turned out we were all 'wedged' in our seats and had a job to get up and go to the carvery!! lol Why are you only % today??
Yes, the emails were good Frank.

Hi Everyone
Well the packing is done, the fridge sorted and the last of the ironing finished so its just a case of waiting until tomorrow. The wind did blow yesterday until well into the evening when we had heavy rain. Thankfully no more damage done and lots of ropes etc all around the veg patch so I am assured that all is well. Today our weather is very pleasant with no wind or rain and temp of 11degrees. I was listening to the weather forcast and we should be having heavy rain and wind but I guess no one told the weather that!! Frank ILOVE the bowling game and I smashed hubby last night. Guess I have not lost my touch and can enjoy playing without needing to bend. Will try again this evening. Off to MIL this afternoon to make sure all is well.
Ann Thanks for the photos. Where were they taken??? Speak later

It is a nice feeling when all the packing and last minute jobs are done Anne. I always aim to have the house all clean before I go too. OH thinks I'm silly to find myself extra work when I needn't, but it is just a lovely feeling when you get back to walk through the door with nothing needing doing whereas it is depressing if you are faced with loads of jobs to catch up on!! The reservoir pics are at Thornton Reservoir, Leics and the meal was at Peatling Parva. We have a few places around here with Parva or Magna in the name after the Roman settlement, I used to live at Glen Parva.
Speaking of which, jobs to do and plants to water......BBL

Oh my 2% is only due to a late night and I feel better now I have had my lunch. I did'nt have any breakfast just a cup of tea.
Frank the jokes did make me laugh.
Anne do have a lovely rest and you will be away for my birthday!!
Ann my favorite pic was the first one too of the frozen water on the lake.
I wonder what kind of name is going to come up for me now?? I have changed it again to Mel~
The wind is still very high here and when I went to see if the bantams were alright their lid to their nest box had lown away from th ehouse so they had a four inch gap in the roof. They won't come out of the bedroom bit when it is windy. The bubble wrap I put round the end of their run had blown off one side too.
We've had a little rain just blowing in the wind and the sky is grey.

Hi Everyone,
Thought I would pop in and say hello, still no new computer but if I leave it much longer you will all have forgotten me ....lol
Finley was one year old yesterday, how the time flies, he had a little tea party and have taken some photos, which I will forward.
Had a go at the bowling Frank, first time was rubbish scored 137 but the second I got all strikes 300.
Alfie is still with me, sitting on the computer table, he likes to walk all over the key board now, as if it wasn't enough with this computer switching itself off whenever it likes.

Hi Maureen, Glad you are well. You are missed with the chat. !!! But you woman never stop do you !!!!
Still blowing like mad out there. The poor birds are going by like leaves on this wind. How they stay up there I will never know.
I can't do any good with the bowling, keep going round the back. No score. the best I've had is about 60.!!!
Mel, can't blame the bamtams staying in doors. I wouldn't want to be out in it, either. !!!
Spend, spend, spend, What is it with you girls. Last Monday Ros said we need a couple of bits from Tesc#, She drove and I sat her in the coffee shop, while I went round with the list. When I got back to her, she hadn't even started her coffee. She said why were you so quick. I said I got what we wanted and thats it. ALL DONE. ready to go home. !!!

Hello Stranger !Good to see you ,and a Happy Birthday for yesterday to little Finley.I think you need to have a strong word with your Son lol
Frank ,I wonder too about the birds in flight. It looks like some of them just goes where the wind takes them lol.,and I think it has been too windy for them to hang on to the coconut and fat feeder.
Chris just found a large plastic bag in the garage .It is full of James 's dirty washing that he brought home before Christmas !!!!!!.Washing machine is now on.

All good with MIL she has booked a trip to Gran Canaria for Sept with one of her friends so she must be feeling ok. Happy birthday for yesterday to Finlay and Happy Birthday to Mel for later in the month. I think it is going to be raining as we drive to the airport in the morning. We will leave home at 6.15am so it should be quiet on the road and we will be at the airport within an hour hopefully. I shall miss our little chats and will have lots of catching up to do when I get back. So take care all of you and I shall think of you all whilst drinking a bottle of red ( or 2 ). Now to prepare the last meal for 3 weeks whoopee!!!
