Well, as we have a wounded soldier in our midst, I will don my apron and get to work.


Kettle on. Oven on. Toaster on. Grill on.


From the fridge - milk, yoghurts, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, sausages, mushrooms, fruit juice


From the cupboards - assorted cereals, porridge, spreads


From the bakers - fresh croissants, crumpets and crusty bread

I had a daft day..............I went to prep for a workshop tomorrow and couldnt find my course material :-0

So, Ive had to design the unit from scratch. Its done now and needed updating anyway

Was out a bit this morning and then had the grandchildren this afternoon.....time flies when you're having fun!


I'm also systematically, taking my blinds down to wash them - it's amazing how dirty they get - especially those near open windows.


I want to find some time to make a birthday card for my last surviving aunt. She is 90 at the end of the month but, sadly, has dementia. She was such a gentle,, quiet and unassuming lady.......so sad. I have a nice picture of her and myself taken years ago and thought I would print it for her in case it jogs her memory a little.

I had Safe Style phone me again today...when I said I wasnt interested, and please take me off your mailing list, he said 'How do you know I am phoning to sell you something'

'So, what are you calling for'

'To check if you are happy with your quote, luvvy'

'You wouldnt quote me, because, my husband wasnt here'

'We dont quote luvvy, unless two of you are there, what if you chose some windows and your husband didnt like them'

Im back early, zoomed through the workshop as half of them looked like death warmed up........bugs

Heared about the helicopter crash in London, on my way to work.....how shocking and sad :-(

Watching the story unfold this morning was awful.......almost surreal in fact. I think many were wondering if it was a terrorist attack but that seems unlikely.


I have been cleaning my blinds nearly ALL day.......I put them in the bath so I have been up and down stairs all day and my poor back......aarrrghhh...

All done now and look very nice and clean :-D :-D


I did, however, utter those three little words to my OH.


"Chippy tea please"......... :-D :-D :-D


Trouble is, I am out at 6.15 on a baptism visit so will bring something back in with me.


Please keep the bugs to yerself Gins.....

I have flown a helicopter !! - SO pleased it wasn't that one though !!

Such a very sad thing to happen.........

Funny how, when youre a kid you love sliding in the snow, when youre in your 20s, you love sliding in the snow.....when drunk. In youre in your 30s, you love helping your kids slide in the snow and when youre in your 40s.............

Cynthia GR had hiccups :-0 It took me 3 goes to get it to post and then it goes anddoes it twice - have deleted one now ;-)

My blinds are easy to clean take the slats off, roll them up put in washing machine iron if required put back up, Easy peasy and saves your back :-D

The helicopter crash was terrible but heard in the news that a bus had stopped at traffic lights and therefore missed being hit. Also the guy who works the crane was late for work luckily for him. So it could have been worse but your heart goes out to the families of those involved.
