Gin,

See what happens when you opt for the latest technology instead of sticking with a well tried and proven product.

If all else fails and you don't have more than one loo then you have three options:

1) Chuck a bucket of water down the loo after each use.

2) Use the bucket instead of the loo.

3) Keep your legs crossed and hop about a bit.

Gee

Gee Report 21 Jan 2013 15:41

Yes, thanks for your very insightful suggestions Mr Jones :-P

Dea

We are very poor and live in a very old house WITH ONE LOO :-0

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 21 Jan 2013 16:18

Gin,

Forced to live in a house with only one loo. :-0

Only having your bins emptied once every two weeks. :-0

Roads left ungritted and obliged to clear your own drive and buy your own salt from Tesco. :-0

I knew things were a bit tight oop norf but I had no idea that they were that bad. :-0

Can't you have a word with that nice Mr Clegg who I believe represents you at Westminster to see if he can get anything done to assist you. According to reports in the newspapers he sees himself as a bit of a champion of the poor and the oppressed. :-D

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 21 Jan 2013 16:29

Hasn't your posh new car got a loo in it Gins????

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Gee

Gee Report 21 Jan 2013 16:31

Mr Clegg is indeed my MP...........but he sure as hell doesnt represent me!

Do you think he fits loos in his spare time? Maybe he's more suited to having his hands down the karzy :-D

Gins

it's really very simple .......................

Use the environmental Save Water, as practised in California for at least the last 25 years ..................

If its yellow
let it mellow
if it's brown
flush it down

Keep a bucket in the bathroom, filled with water. Use that to flush it down.

we are soooooooooooooooooo loving being back to 2 full bathrooms after sharing 1 bathroom with J&M over Christmas, and then the visitors here last week :-D :-D :-D :-D

see you all later

Oh Gins....you've gone all red :-0

In fact, you look rather 'flushed'.....hahahahah hic....hahahaha :-D :-D

I looked out of the window this afternoon and could see my elderly neighbour brushing the snow off his car. The I saw the chap from across the road helping him. "How nice" I thought.

A few minutes later, I couldn't see them but could hear them.... :-S

When I stood up and moved round, there were the two of them plus the young woman from next door but one, all clearing MY car and drive....... :-)

Wasn't that just lovely of them? :-D I went out to thank them naturally...... :-)

Gee

Gee Report 21 Jan 2013 20:47

Thats strange

I had a conversation today, about how snowy weather, brings us together

Clearing, roads, drives, cars, pushing cars to help

.........how sweet

Thank you Sylvs.....much appreciated. Porridge this morning I think. :-D

Up early because my decorator phoned last night to say he could come earlier than he thought because his next job has been held up because of the weather. It's not a major job here, simply some freshening up which needs to be done. :-D

Yes, I do have some lovely neighbours. We're not in and out of each other's houses but we all know that we will help each other out when needed.

Must go, have to go to daughter's as well. ~~~~

Good morning all :-)

Thank you for the lovely breakfast Sylvia <3 <3 <3

Your neighbours sound lovely Cynthia - mine are much the same, thankfully. We don't pop in and out but any one of them would be there to help if needed.
