Persie .......

I'm not sure

The police have seemingly stopped such a truck and been talking to the driver

I presume there would be some sort of court case IF it happens to be true

However, the bridge is around 60 years old.

In 2010, it's structure was rated as fine .............................. BUT the bridge is now much too small, and is one of about 1500 bridges in the State of Washington alone, that desperately need to be replaced.

Something will have to be done pretty quickly .................. you can hardly leave an Interstate highway disconnected!

If it goes as has happened in the past .................. they will put a Bailey bridge across the river to provide a temporary solution.

Bailey bridge being those bridges that army engineers put up during the war.

Sorry to turn your breakfast down Sylvs... I ate at MCs.. with the cats Eric meowed to Ernie make the Tea Urn and he did no problem... Marie has them well trained. No doubt one of them lights her ciggies for her as well.

I did ask about that but Suzi said there was a claws in her contract that she only sits and gets waited on... Eric pawsed at that remark and Ernie got stuck into the wine and is now catatonic.

Dea Report 24 May 2013 08:10

Oh Persie..........

I don't know what you ate at MC's but whatever it was, it has sent you all purrrr-culiar ;-) :-D

I am going to stick with Sylvia's breakfast - potatoes with garlic and bacon, grilled mushrooms, baked tomatoes and extra bacon on top............ lovely - thank you Sylvs <3

Hope J is much better today Ginns <3

See you all later,

Dea x

Persie,

I think that Suzi might have been spinning you a feline. After all nobody is purrfect.

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 24 May 2013 08:36

Well, for those of you who breakfast at mine - fine, but I'm going to Sylvia's (do you think I'm stupid? - NO, don't answer)

Perse - oh, you used the blue plate? Forgot to say that it was Eric's, never mind I'm sure it's OK having wiped it on Mr C's boxers. I know you were swigging the Chardonnay because it's dribbled down the front of your dressing gown (did you really travel here like that?)

Gins, hope J is doing well and is comfortable.

Persephone

Persephone Report 24 May 2013 09:10

T'wasn't far between bedroom and kitchen... Better than eating at Mrs Brown's ... you can't even get a piece of toast there.. make it and someone else helps themselves to it.

Morning Mr Jones... next time I do breakfast tell your good lady wife we will be eating around back of your place...quite fancy that I does.

To think you could have ended up marrying the wrong woman.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 24 May 2013 09:18

"Good morning" says she, whilst weaving her way around assorted cat litter trays, wine bottles and narrowly missing falling over Persie's dressing gown which has been thrown on the floor with gay abandon.

Gay lives next door in case you wondered.

Not being too keen on cats, I keep a wary eye on Eric who is known to have a penchant for toast crusts, and make myself some toast in the hope of killing off any lurking bacteria within range. As I am not allergic to penicillin, I may try a little jam.

You didn't say you had some Nutella in the cupboard MC. Oooops.

Not Nutella.

Finds, with difficulty, a chair to sit on and rises abruptly having mistaken a cat for a cushion.......ouch.

Very disappointed that the cats have not been trained to perform the famous Eric and Ernie Breakfast Routine - to see Persie accompanying them by dancing to the music, would have been the highlight of my day!

Very pleased about your sister Gins....<3

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 24 May 2013 10:10

The people next door are surprised to find out they're gay - they hadn't known until Cynthia mentioned it.

I'm perturbed that Perse is nowhere to be seen and must be wandering along the north east coastline in a flannelette nightgown having discarded said dressing gown. I do hope she's not resurrecting that fling she had with g grandad, that's one relationship that's going nowhere (unlike the neighbours).

What a lively lot you were at breakfast.

I forgot to eat this morning so will eat at both MC's and Sylvia's cos I am now starving.

I went into the kitchen and put on the washing, emptied the dishwasher, tidied the worktops.

Then I thought I would get the chilli I made last night into containers to freeze.

I forgot to eat :-( :-(

MC only crumbs left at yours so off to Sylvia's :-)

Gins good news about sis hope it works and gives her some relief <3

Persie stop wandering about in your nightie its not that warm ;-)

Sylvia hope no one was hurt and that they get everyone out of the water safely.

Persephone

Persephone Report 24 May 2013 10:56

I haven't got a nightie...

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 24 May 2013 11:31

... well it looked like a nightie.

Oh no! She's got his shroud on again :-0

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 24 May 2013 11:41

Nope MC.........she's wearing her birthday suit...................it just needs ironing though!

Persephone

Persephone Report 24 May 2013 12:10

I think I will buy a onesey. or two... would that make them twoseys?

H'actually there are some nighties up in the cupboard... I had to wear one of those silly ones with ties down the back when I was in hospital.. I soon got the linen woman to get me one that buttoned down the front...

They are very strict about DVT in the hospital, they give you a jab for it every day plus you have to wear white knee hi DVT support hose... the blokes also had the same nighties and DVT support hose. Some of the men had to remember when they sat down :-0

Thought you had a BMW Gins? Did you change it?
I'm quite tempted by the Audi A1, but like the new Mercedes A class, too.

Boy ................. you lot were wild this morning!

I could hear you from over here ;-)

Only 3 cars went into the water from that bridge. 3 people rescued and taken to hospital, 2 still in hospital, but injuries not through to be life threatening.

It as very lucky that there were only those 3 on the span that went down.

It is now thought possible that a truck carrying a wide load may have clipped one of the bridge girders.

Gins ............ thinking of you all <3 <3 <3 <3
