Dull and grey today - yes Summer was lovely whilst it lasted. :-S


May suggest to OH that we go for a walk together this morning rather than me just dropping him off. Got to keep up my 'steps' ;-)


Out with daughter this afternoon (half-term) but should be back at some time.

Ooops.....come on gang, we're slipping down the pages :-(

Ive been marking all day......half way through and the next lot will be here soon. Mind you, there have been some really interesting assignments, enjoyed reading them. Some ref pointed me to hypothesise, I hadnt considered....interesting

You see, us lecturers, do learn from our students

going out tonight .........

......... it's Grad week here, and tonight is the Reception for the honorary degree people, and the valedictorian students.

a time to meet lots of interesting people.

Absolutely cream crackered :-(


When it's half term and daughter is off from work, it means that my afternoons are spent with her.

We went off to a garden centre for a while and then spent hours on line looking for a new fridge freezer for her. Hard work or what?????? :-S

Just back on here playing catch up over the last 2 days. Looks like I had hiccups on my last post. Flipping error message :-|

Gins how thoughtful of that lady to send the tulips I love yellow tulips.

MC I see I am not alone in suffering duplicate posts when will they fix that blasted error message aaargh :-(

I have been "missing" cos I have been running about mad.

Yesterday had to go and pick my sis up (35 min drive) then we went to Costco.

Got OH's cake ordered and some "finger" cakes.

Got the beer and soft drinks. Went to local B+M store and got bamboo panels for garden and creosote for garden furniture.

Got home did some housework made dinner and collapsed in a heap. It was pouring with rain all day


Today did 2 washings, OH spent hours putting the bamboo panels up.

Friends brought over their garden furniture for the weekend . She also brought over trays, bowls etc.

I go to paint the garden furniture (ours) wrong colour had to take it back and change it then the rain came on !!

DIL texts baby still being sick (4 days) so after about 6 text messages she phones Dr didn't want to chance her being sick again while she was driving.

OH and I go over I go to Dr's and OH watches big sister.

Dr said to give her small frequent feeds. Oh and can you get a urine sample (gives her a bowl and the usual sample tube :-S :-S

Ok anyone know how you get a 6 month old to "perform" in a bowl??

Poor "wee" (no pun intended) soul she is paler than usual and a bit listless.

I told DIL if she is in any doubt to phone NHS 24.

Now tomorrow all I have to do is clean the house from top to bottom.
Do a weeks worth of ironing.

Do the garden furniture.

Get plants and get them into the containers/baskets/garden.

I should be finished by lunch time ;-)

Will be back not sure when ;-)
