Hi All

Thanks for the info looks very much like my people, not that my mum ever knew or heard of them. When I started doing this all she could tell me was her dad had one sister turns out he had nine siblings.
Been putting it off but thought I would have a crack at it last night, found one poss gt uncle dying during the war name is too common but wife remarried in 1918 so looks likely.

How did you get the other person to show on the marriage dea? Thanks Gins but I have ancestry so will have a butchers at the photo after I have had a coffee.

Bit snowy here now took HID 3 1/2 hours to do a 15 min drive today ooops

Was a lot easier doing my dads side because at least he knew his grandparents, all my mum could tell me was that were a little hunched back couple with hook noses not much help at all. I may ask for more help later

It's quite a good site Ginny.

It has lots of info - not nearly as much as Ancestry of course, but it only costs about £30 per year and is a very useful back-up!

You can also pay for view.

I joined it a couple of years ago,but have never paid for it yet as I already have Anc and FMP so decided not to spend the money on it.

Gins
Where did you get that war dead info from with the name of his wife ect, I cant see it on ancestry...not with the additional info anyway. I think at least one more gt uncle may have died as his wife remarried in 1918 as a widow.... Henry George Bishop 1884 born islington, Highbury area married Ann Irish in 1908 living Clapton london 1911 any help greatly recieved

that last page not opening happens to everyone, not just you.

Another little "problem" from the changes on the 17th

whenever the page number gets to one ending in "0", the system seems to set up for new turn over to a number ending in "1"

IF you look very carefully, it will say, "581-580" .......... DO NOT click on it when it says that!

Wait until it says "581-581" ....... that is then truly the next page to look at!
