Just got back from a walk in the very deep snow. Brilliant it was, quiet and romantic like

We seem to have been over run with foxes though.....dont they mind the snow then!

I noticed some animal prints in the garden tonight, I would think that was a fox too...It won't find any food in my garden

I AM BACK!

It took 4 hours to get into work this morning. Daughter and I several times had to get out to help push cars vans and even a doubledecker bus.

I cannot for the life of me understand how The M25 and M20 and A2 were not gritted. We knew this snow was coming over a week ago.
Why do buses not get given a bag of grit.

Coming home was a nightmare. we were literally iceskating sideways in the car.

Daughter who is now carless did an online shop this morning and has now been told it has been cancelled.

I have now spent the majority of the past 24 hours in traffic jams apart from when I was sleeping.

Still do not know about SIL's car. They are waiting for a phone call.

It was rather funny at one point today. On a steep hill with buses strewn across the rd.

Daughter marches up to the driver and says Need any Help.

Then marches up to builders vans

You aint going nowhere till that is cleared.
You are young fit and healthy so get out and push.

And they did.

She got the whole road working as a team.

I aint seen snow like this since I was a kid in the 70s. The stone steps leading up the garden..........have gorn!

Last night we walked down to Ecclesall Road, the main road leading from Derbyshire to Sheffield city centre..........it was empty except for a couple of fools in cars being pushed by young lads

The road was totally covered and impossible to drive. Im presuming it had been cleared but I dont think the council can keep up. Our council (I hate to say it as they are LibDem) did a cracking job last year......but this lot seems impossible to get on top of

I might go and buy a 4 x 4

Looks like another day of lounging around, reading and walking
