Peter, have a look at the stickied thread at the top of Chat. You can win a £50 M & S voucher if you have an exciting story to tell from on here!! Might help with the food/clothes bill!!!

Hi all

duly stretched etc .... now he (ie physio) is on holiday for about a month .... I have the names of 3 of his "associates" that would be "good" if I need help while he's away.

Had my sushi lunch, and afternoon coffee, and finally made it back home!

it's been a lovely day here ..... the temp is climbing though. Low to mid 20s this afternoon, but up to close to 30 by tomorrow afternoon.

Had brother on the phone this morning..... 'make sure you clear the area where I need to work tomorrow'

Does he think I am as dim as him. I was going to leave the clothes rail in the way and watch him and the plasterer work round it!

Any of you expert researchers fancy a looky at this please

Gins, I'm not an eggspurt as you know, but I am nosey so I had a look at that thread. Our Sylv had a similar reply from the lady and posted it on Sue's thread a day or so ago. I mean, 54 years before registering a birth???? Maybe that's where so many missing folk are.......they've all been registered yonks later!!!

Good luck my little sleuth.

I'm off to find that duster again.

Gee

Gee Report 7 Jul 2010 09:19

Ta Cyns

I still think he was adopted but who knows.

You must have the cleanest house in the UK. I hate dusters, they spread muck everywhere!

And just had a phone call with regards to some 'Teambuilding' days a company want me to design and deliver for them

I went out to see them (my M62 jaunt a week or so ago) and then sent her ideas for day one

She loved the idea of starting the days off with a team exercise of finding as many 'famous' people as they can on the censuses using Ancestry!

I knew my hobby would earn me some cash one day ;)

Edit; I had thought of them looking for their own family but thought better of that. I wouldnt want them finding out dad was not really dad and mother had a fling with her brother.....TeamDestruction day!!!!

Casting aspersions on my dusters are ye?? How dare you!! I'll have you know that my dusters are squeaky clean until they get dirty! I have a drawer load of the things... coths for dusting, clothes for windows, cloths for floor cloths. In fact, my floor cloths are cleaner than many people's dish cloths - you should see all my little cloths hanging out on the clothes line........ahhh

Gee

Gee Report 7 Jul 2010 13:47

What are 'coths'

LadyKira

LadyKira Report 7 Jul 2010 14:44

I do not dust in case it makes my cloths dirty.

That would upset me.

Coths Cyns....what are they please ;)

Little old lady, about Cyns age, in the supermarket just now on the way home from work. She had the fullest trolley; heavin it was and she couldn’t control it at all..

She was dragged from one side of the aisle to the other...it was funny to watch.

I have just had a Phone call from the reg office lady, after hours too.

She is an absolute wonder woman in my opinion.

She has found my friends mothers birth cert with the sketchy details I gave her at 11.30am this morning.

Not bad when searching for a Davies in Cardiganshire !

Will have to buy flowers and bill friend for them now...
