The only characters I can remember from my long past Emmerdale days were the Sugdens and Seth Armstrong - and the chaps in the pub. Haven't watched it in years honest.

Not a long running soap fan. Soz.

Morning all:

What’s Mumping?...... I know I have led a sheltered life but..... you lot have the strangest vocabulary.

Brilliant day yesterday…. Well for SHE

New cousins arrived just after 11am… one obviously has a bob or two as she came in a very nice bright red expensive sports car. She said it was a crisis buy to make her feel good……. Could have been Ginny in disguise…. (I’m sure your much younger Ginny….)

We had a couple of hours looking at photo’s and me showing the little I had found…. Had to tread a little carefully as I didn’t know if they knew any of the skeletons I had found… seam’s that they knew most and were able to shed some light of bits and pieces…

We went to a pub for lunch and had some good fun and laughter…. Then back home for scanning pictures and putting names to faces on them and also getting some date details.

We got the names of the extended families children etc…

We have a date to go and see the 98 year old Auntie the first week in August as one of the cousin is going to spend a week with her… and she is also looking forward to meeting her niece (SHE)

So all in all a good day… all thanks to you lot…

Peter and SHE

Hi Ginny, Im keeping my messages on one post honest, but the trouble is its getting long and the intro bit is becoming so long winded maybe no one will help me. I do write the date and put update but dont know what more I can do.

any advice when your one post becomes so long it looks like a long knitted scarf, but you know you shouldnt start another one. thanks to all

leesle -
You're quite right to keep adding onto your post.
Maybe if you put the new updated question at the TOP of your initial request, with a line to separate it from the rest, people will realise it's a new ask.
Just a thought.

Not sure if this is relevant - but what I did was look for members names offering searches and whom I had not seen on my TTF - went on to their thread and asked for help saying please reply on my thread number xxxxxxxx and lo and behold Michelle - ( who says something like stuck with brick walls) actually found my relative on 1901 - her place of birth had been written as her husbands and vice versa and Rache found her on 1911 census thru husband - again her place of birth was transcribed as Mortimer in S Town -- actually Martinstown Dorset

I think I stayed within the guidelines - all information regarding the family is on the same thread for future searches by members
