Jude I like that, Tinkerfingy! Might change my name !!x How are you feeling? How is your son?

Ann is a darling, she is full of good sugestions!

Mary, my goodness sounds like you are going hyper! Well done. Hope you aren't just throwing your bills away lol big X. Sorry I had to cut off earlier plumber had just turned up. What a day! I'm so tired.
By the way my second cousin lives on the other side of Lake Erie, in Ohio.

Julie it's interesting that the tablets give you diarrheoa, someone else said they made her constipated. One of my problems is I get diarrheoa at the mention of going out, or a visitor turning up at my house. That is why I am seeing a pychologist. Lived the last several years by taking imodium until it didn't work anymore. It got me so low, trying to juggle work, home, shopping and doing what I can to help my parents. Six imodium a day Sunday to Wednesday, and still going to the loo before leaving the house several times in the morning then, Thursday to Saturday eating fruit and nuts or anything to help me go to the loo. it didn't work anymore. Then I got prescribed Codine as it's side effect is constipation. But I was allergic to it and it made me very ill. I ended up having four months off work.

Caz nice to see you again. Are you feeling a little less pain tonight? How did dentist go?

Carolina....the tablets are nothing to worry about. More likely your head ache was stress, than a side effect. You will give yourself headaches for nothing!
Do you take two a day ? I take mine together usually with my evening meal. But you could take them in the morning if that works for you better. You did so well seeing your doctor, I know it's not easy to sit in there and know you are likely to break down. A few weeks on the tablets and you will be able to talk with out crying.

Anyone heard from Purple Sparkly Diamond Liz?

Carole Tinkerfingy xx

I've really opened "a can of worms " today!!
I've led myself into writing down all the bills I've let pile up and there is no way to tackle it all at once. But - now that I have a clear picture I can deal with it, anxiety prevents me opening envelopes, perhaps now I can see clearly I can do a little every day and avoid future pileups.
help I need a manager (that is not a suggestion that I might want to get married again!!) LOL
have a good night everyone, off to share a big pot of chili con carne with my family. Smells good,
mary

Hi I can relate to the bill's thing. serposed to be doing my bas statement (like your vat) just about run out if excuses lol still trying to work out the mess I made of the paperwork from before I started my pills 2 y ago was very DA DA at that time lol. I found the best thing for me was a clip board as the bill came in it went to the back as the money came in i payed the one on the top .tackle everything step by step little by little. I set myself a small goal each day and I have a calander in my loo so i can keep track of my appiontment and pay by this date etc. sounds funny but it the first place i go in the morning and you get reminded everytime you go. It works for me

Well done girls! I am the world's worst for shopping receipts, I buy stuff then lose the receipt so can't return it if unsuitable. I did once start putting them all in a plastic tub but lost the habit quickly.
I pay as much as I can by direct debit, it does save problems when you forget something isn't paid!

Keep up the good work.

yorkshire caz my dad and my mum went tough palative care I can understand your point of view .if your as strong minded like I bet you are . Everyone is about helping you which is good.you know when you are in pain you just wish they could listen and understand what you tell them and not whats best for you! my mum was a very inderpendent women it wasn't so much the illness that got her down it was the little things like taking 4 trips to the kitchen to make a coffee. If they can find a pill for fustration it would be a best seller. keep your chin up and remember we all live life one day at a time

Irene, I have the best care team, I was sent to them for pain management but the doctor thought I needed help with my depression first, the pain seemed to be forgotten. It was yesterday when Emma (psychologist) asked how my pain management was going I said I haven't had it yet,???? She is going to mention it to the team when she got back to the office and someone will be in touch. I must say that I really need it now, it's not the cancer but my back and all it's problems.

Carole, dentist was fine, I lost a filling new years eve, sign of year to come? Dentist put it back but it came out last week again, he just refilled it as it didn't need anything more doing. If it was a drilling episode I would have thought twice about going, I have had a phobia for about twenty years since a stupid dentist drilled without an injection and hit a nerve, he had the cheek to call me a baby then. Found a lovely one since and have no problems, it's a matter of trust I think. My pain is getting unbearable now at times, that's why I can't be here for the girls when I so much want to be.
I am always here when I can though because I think this thread is so important having gone throught it myself, and still battling it .

Hi Ann, Mary, I'm ok I just keep getting up and going for a wander, took me nearly five mins to get off chair and into kitchen earlier lol, a snail would beat me. How are you doing with your clearing of papers Mary? I bet you feel a lot better when it's done. I have just been looking on Ancestry for my elusive 2xgreat grandma, got her marriage certificate but can't find her anywhere before she was married, I'm beginning to wonder if she was born or came down in a spaceship. Going for a much needed cuppa.

Hi Caz, read it and be amazed at how all pulling together can help, we have a few who have already taken the first step, so proud of them cos it is very hard at first as you will know. Please would you write your story for us, it helps us realise we are not alone, it's like holding hands around the world, comforting.

Hi Caz in Cumbria! Welcome to the club we all wish we didn't belong to!! lol. There are some good listeners on this thread if it would help you to get anything off your mind. Seems there is someone here most times of the day as well. I thought there might be up to a dozen replies at most. I am amazed at the response. I know I keep saying that. xx
