on the parents of Harriet Smith born Canterbury about 1859

have not been able to find any family apart from the 1881 when she is
with Jem/James Lee and daughter Louisa -- Louisa appears as a Rumsey 1911

It is thought that there may be a connection to Emmetts/Emett of Kent
some where

the only Marsh /Fletcher that I have in the database
is a different christian name for ? Fletcher
here is what I have
Edith Anne Marsh baptised 28/10/1888 @ St Mary ,Watford,parents listed has Walter Thomas Marsh and Louisa
Edith Anne Marsh married 5/8/1907 aged 18 @ St Saviours,Birmingham ===but she is listed has marrying ISAIH FLETCHER
I have checked this marriage with the England and Wales Marriages and the details are correct==volume 6d page 209
in 1911
Isaih and Edith and daughter Edith Anne are resident at Wheeler Street ,Birmingham,and although this census says that Edith Anne was born Birmingham (there is no proof of birth for Birmingham)
in the 1891
it lists Isaih with siblings and parents Alexander and Sarah Eliza :-)

Hi Elizabeth , I have the birth cert for Louisa Lee it ties in with the birthday date
for Louisa Rumsey on the 1939 index

On the index she has her Dob as 29th Nov 1879 the birth cert I have is as follows

29th Nov 1878 Homershall ?? Doddington Kent -- Louisa - parents - James Lee
and Harriet Lee -maiden name Webb- James a Skewer and Peg maker signed with X of Fairlight Sussex

This morning I stumbled on a link for Romany and Travellers and out of curiosity went looking for names. Lo and behold they had "Lee"!! I looked a bit more and also found the surname "Rose" and then a Christian name of Eunice, surname Lee, born to a Henry back in the 1800's. How on earth do I search for connections.
The background to all of this is that my Great Grandfather went off from his wife and 5 sons about 1896, never to be found again. I gave up on him and went looking for what records I could find from his marriage cert. No where can I find a birth for him, no records for his parents either. His name was Henry Arthur Lee who said he was born in Newcastle NSW Australia in 1856. There are no records in Australia for either him or his parents that I and others can find. He came to NZ and married in 1882 and had 5 sons and then disappeared. He said his parents were a Henry Arthur Lee and Elizabeth Rose. Rose is the surname.
The reason I am curious about a Romany connection is that my grandfather named one of his daughters Eunice, she was my mother's sister.
Now if you are still reading this I thank you and hope you can point me in the direction of where to start my searching to see if there is any connection.

I am looking for information on Faith Street b c 1872, possibly at Bell Common Loughton. Mother called Hope b Hainault Forest c 1845, Father Thomas bc 1844. Faith was one of 11, married Harry Shrimpton, lived Cherry Island, Canning town gypsy encampment when first married. Any information would be great. I do not know names of Faiths siblings of any details about her parents..

I'm looking for information on my paternal grandmother Rebecca Bunce born about 1886, father is Alma Boswell born about 1855, mother is Sarah or possibly Sarah Ann Bunce. Would like to find out where she was born and which Sarah is her mother. I don't believe Alma and Sarah ever married.

The only reference I have is Sarah Boswell,(mother of Alma)in the 1901 census,for Starrhill,Blackpool(South shore)where she turns up as head of the family a widow aged 96.she is there with ,children,and grandchildren,and her son Alma born 1857.
But then this Alma Boswell then in 1911 is at Horncliffe Rd,South Shore,Blackpool,where he his with the Batty family again there being no reference to a Sarah or Rebecca Bunce
