I keep threatening to hire a really fancy car for a few days just to wind the boys up pretending to have bought it ;-)

I have a passion................

for the latest white cars.........especially the Range Rover and the Nissan. <3

Dream away Cyns...........you'll be stuck with your little yaris for a long time to come.... :-(

Are you pleased that OH has migrated back to the bedroom Sylvs or were you enjoying being in 'solitary' ???? :-D

Yes Dea, the lunches are still served but it must seem strange to the wedding party to have the aroma of lunches wafting through the church..... :-D :-D

Yep, he's a busy chap our vicar. Last week he was spending every spare hour he could with a dying parishioner and her family - even going at 4am when she passed gently away. Not sure they make them like that anymore to be honest.

I am assuming I have been 'migrated'.....I couldn't get on the internet earlier so went and reset the router......voila! Here I am - just to annoy you...... :-D

I should be delighted as it will take my monthly bill right down by over £15 :-D :-D :-D

I'm trying to downsize my photo albums to a more manageable size - I have literally thousands of photos dating from the end of the c19th. Any ideas anyone??? Don't know whether to keep them in albums or boxes or ?????

Dea

Dea Report 31 Aug 2012 20:52

Not sure they make 'em like that anymore either Cynths !! :-)

As you know, I am not into 'religion' but I DO respect the very few 'really good' people that there are in the world !! - 'Vicars or no'

I think that you may be included in that list Cynths.

I have to agree with Dea on her comment, I'll leave you to figure out which one ;-)

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 1 Sep 2012 10:32

Cyn,

If you have the storage room I would leave your photographs exactly as they are, in albums. That way the photographs will remain, protected and possibly in some logical or chronological order.

If you remove the photo's and do what a lot of people do, I.E. store them in a box or old biscuit tin they almost certainly will end up dog-eared, damaged, disordered and rarely looked at. If stored in that manner when you or your descendants look at them in the future a lot of time is likely to be spent wondering who or what the photo's subject is or bemoaning the fact that a crease or scratch has ruined the only photograph of someone important to you.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 1 Sep 2012 11:54

Thanks Jonesey, I know you're right.

It's the storage space I'm short of and must have about 8 large albums plus an underbed type box where I store the larger photos in plastic wallets.

They are in chronological order - as far as I can make it, and are mostly named.

I think the answer is to go through them again and remove those which are duplicated, poor quality or of no consequence to anyone - odd views etc.

Maybe a job for when the bad weather arrives methinks!!

Joy? Where's you orf to then??? :-S

Had quite a nice afternoon today. Picked up daughter - who was actually prompt for a change - and then went to our favourite coffee shop. Just as we were about to leave, a couple of friends came in so we stopped to chat with them. <3

Have just watched some of the paralymics - those athletes are just incredible. I had never realised that people without arms could swim like that.....fantastic!

Sounds like Gins is entertaining again doesn't it Dea??? :-S

Hello all,
While OH was at footie I got peace to go through my FT paperwork. Pleased that I am making some progress totally depressed at the amount of stuff I have to go through.

All my own fault for not filing as I went along hey ho

OH an I went out for a meal and to see the Batman movie got home about an hour ago.

Might be going out for lunch (Sunday) with my siblings not met up for a few weeks waiting on one to confirm .

Then on Monday am meeting my Mums cousins son (is that my 2nd cousin I cant work it out) who is home from NYC to visit with his Mum .

He has asked me to bring what I have so far on his side of the FT.

Only problem is I haven't touched that side sincejust after I started my research as I have been concentrating on another line.

So had to spend a couple of hours looking stuff out but did find a good bit for him :-)

The problem with looking through everything is that you get distracted looking at things I did find old pics that I had filed safely in among my paperwork - and then forgotten about ;-)

Am orf to bed now to read nite nite

Dear Ginns , I have opened a new post on this board this morning .
Named Fining Irish Ancestors. This was replied th by an ANN ,then an error occurred . I was not able to record the information. .report the problem satisfactorily for me to retrieve the research. ,so I am at a different time going to have to try again & will have to submit the same names due to circumstances that occurred !!!!????
