Thanks Dea and yes, it did go well. Just a tweak to his medication. We always like to be on time for hospital appointments - manners and all that. We arrived in plenty of time for the 4.15 timing - unfortunately, he wasn't called in until 5.15.....hey ho. Very nice young Registrar whom he really took to and chatted away. :-D


Rather belated tea though............... :-(

OH has a late afternoon commitment, so no afternoon coffee




Breakfast is ready


Porridge, with all the fixin's

Selection of cold cereals

Toast (selection of bakery breads)
croissants
barm cakes


Full English

cheesy sausage and egg bake

ham, cheese and asparagus omelette

Spanish omelette (vegetarian)


In the warmers ...................

bacon, ham, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, grilled mushrooms, baked tomatoes, baked beans, fried bread

As you ask, - 'fried bread' is tastiest done in bacon fat (or olive oil and butter which you have cooked liver in) !!! - Don't mention that to our Ginns at this time of the morning though as she is a 'veggie' through and through and it will put her right off her breckie ;-)

Thanks Dea,back in the days bfore germs had been invented we had fried bread done in lard or dripping the had cooked some meat a day or two before.
It was delicious or we were starving.
