Cyn

you are right

I made a mistake

It was VICK, not Vaseline

shows how much attention I paid to what daughter said!!

When my Dad had a cold ................. he used to get a large onion, peel it, then eat it raw

a large Spanish onion was preferred

I have no idea whether it really worked ............................

he thought it did!!

Good morning friends.... :-D

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs - the porridge was just right <3

Glad we sorted out the V products......my daughter used to put lashings of moisturiser on her feet ....... and then pad round her room ...... arrrrghhhh. It made a dreadful mess of the carpet - we had to throw it out.

I must admit that I do like to look after my feet. Can't abide seeing women with dirty, cracked soles wearing sandals. I keep them moisturised and hard skin free! Sometimes I use Vaseline and pop some socks on if I'm doing housework. I've even got some gel socks - they feel really odd to touch, but they do help the feet.

As for eating raw onions.........argh. OH can do that but not me. Mind you, I bet it cleared Sylv's dad's nasal passages out a treat!!!

Hope Gins had a good night's sleep and is feeling better this morning.

Just going for a quick browse then shower and off into town I think. Have got grandson this afternoon. :-D

Mornin all~~~~~

My gran used to swear by onions for several things. She would put half of one on the kitchen window to keep germs at bay

The heart of the onion, warmed in the oven and placed in the ear for earache

Half an onion placed at the back of the kneck for a headache

Im feeling a bit better this morning, already been onto the college discussing some work, in between me coughing a snotting!

JB started with the cough and itchy mouth last night

I think a big bowl of porridge is needed this morning.....thanks Sylvs <3

I am even better than this morning....although, I am on PC and IB and heavy cough stuff

I still feel guilty about not going to see sis, but the other girls on the ward are on Chemo and their immune system is very low, it wouldnt be right

I said, that when I stop sneezing and coughing, I will go up, I do miss a cuddle with her

Dea

Dea Report 26 Feb 2013 20:14

Is that Paracetamol and Ibuprofen Ginns ????? - I don't quite understand the initials ! :-S

You are quite right though about not going to see your sister just yet - you would do her (and the othetr people in there) more harm than good !!!

Wait till you are better and you can give her a cuddle then !!
