Daughter seems to be having a good time baby sitting the youngsters. She posted a pic on FB of them enjoying a 'picnic' on the floor!!!

Good morning all :-D

OOoerr - I have just remembered - Sylvs is away so I had better put some breakfast on :-0...............

Tea, coffee at the ready.

Porridge is now bubbling away.

Cereals and fresh fruit are all prepared and there are platters of fresh hams and cheeses.

Hot bread rolls, toast, crackers, crumpets.

Fresh croissants and danish pastries.

Bacon, sausages, fried bread are in the pans and mushrooms and tomatoes under the grill...

Eggs will be cooked as you like them.....

Phewww.... that was a bit of a rush ;-) :-D

It is quiet on here today.

Son came with GD's then OH and I went to Matalan and he came back with some jeans.

No1 son and partner are coming for dinner but not till nearer 7pm, so I thought I would take the chance to pop in here :-D

It was either that or do the ironing ;-)

We have 'dinner ' on a Sunday at around 1.00pm - 6.00pm - 7.pm is 'tea time' - IF you are up for it after a big dinner ???

Full Canadian - 2 eggs any style, choice of bacon, ham or breakfast sausage, chef’s own hash browns, toast or fresh baked muffin

Hearty Canadian – 3 eggs any style, bacon or ham, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, toast

The Continental – choice of assorted chilled fruit juices, hot oatmeal or assorted cold cereals, toast or fresh-baked muffin

Boiled eggs and toast

Huevos Rancheros


in the warmers ...............

bacon, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, grilled mushrooms, baked tomatoes, baked beans, fried bread

Toast (selection of artisan breads)

Sylvia,

Sounds as if it was a fitting "Do" for your deceased friend. My view is that funerals should be a celebration of a life rather than the mourning of a passing. Where possible I try to dress appropriately for that life rather than in mourning attire.

To my wife's step-father's funeral I wore a red bow tie just as he had worn during his many years as an entertainer. When a whole bunch of us attended the funeral of one of our close clay target shooting friends we did so dressed in our normal shooting gear including our shooting vests. It was exactly how we would have been dressed when he was here with us. His wife and indeed the vicar conducting the service really appreciated our gesture.
