My sister in law is very organised and buys all her Christmas prezzies in the New Year Sales.

I tried to copy her a few years ago. - I bought my Chritmas cards very early, wrote them all out, stuck the stamps on and had them ready around September time.

I put them in a 'safe place' and could I find them???....No !!!

I had to start all over again and didn't find them until about February !!!!!!!!!!!

NOT for me, this 'organised' stuff !!

Nut Roast Renes.....no way hun

I eat all the vegies and make two gravies, one with the meat as mom used to make it and just a bistow for me!

Home made Yorkies with sage and onion to start then all the rest, including pigs in blankets. Italian meats for nibbles to start as No 1 son's bird is Italian

Also, nuts, olives and lots of other stuff

Guinness for a drink before lunch to celebrate me dad......I do miss him esp at Christmas

I miss my Dad at Christmas too. It's not the same making the brandy sauce without him sitting at the table checking the brandy was good enough for the sauce.

Must admit when I lived in UK - and we were not going on holiday until say Boxing Day -

used to go to &ainsbury two hours before they closed on Xmas Eve and fill my freezer with all the half priced luxury fresh foodstuffs
