Jonesey Report 22 Dec 2010 09:12

It has been snowing hard in Brum for the past 3 hours.

Are you getting the sledge (BMW) out Gin or did you invest in a 4x4 yet. I am about to venture forth in my Jeep. It will cope but the problems arise when you meet other vehicles that can't.

arriived safely in St Helens. Roads not too bad.

Do you still have the clipper service in Sheffield Ginny? I remember years ago when my sister lived there this was a very cheap way of getting around the city.

jax

jax Report 22 Dec 2010 14:48

TootyFruity Report 22 Dec 2010 14:56

arrived at 2.00am. boat arrived in Heysham at 11.30pm but took awhile to get off. Was surprised as there wasn't much snow around there and Lancaster. Motorways were fine. East Lancs had been gritted in one lane only, must be traffic calming measure.

There had been more snowfall nearer to St Helens but driving conditions weren't as bad as I expected.
