Nothing like a man with a tractor in these dire times! Bet Fans chatted him up a bit and he gave her a lift into town!

I think it's the way the media portray the Christmas spirit Gins. It's as though everyone is having a fantastic time partying away when, in fact, It's probably far more are sitting at home on their own or in hospital etc.etc. It's something I've come across time and time again.

Have been sitting on the carpark at Tesco for almost an hour due to the massive queues on and off. Hopefully won't have to go there again this week.

Really must get that Christmas tree out of the loft soon!! My excitement knows no bounds.

Cancelled the trip to Somerset until the weather breaks, not risking it just to deliver prezzies..So we will have a Sunday down there after Christmas and ask people to gather at the parents farm for the afternoon..

Last prezzie wrapped...Now to hope we can get to the pub next Saturday for our christmas dinner...Methinks me will get a nice leg of Lamb in,just in case we cant..
Got a tub (large )of Celebrations and someone gave us a big tin of Victoria choccy biccies..So we have everything we need for Christmas day...But of course we already have the most important thing of all...EACH OTHER...

And my thoughts go out to those who are alone or grieving this year, and also to those people missing from my Christmas prezzie list, but I will wave to you on Christmas Eve as always..

OH is 51 on the 22nd Dec so trying to make a happy day for him

Have presents here from family for him - but my gifts from Amazon are here in Spain ---- And delivery was attempted this morning - but we were out - so mot sure if I can get them to return tomorrow

had a two year gap when I worked in Boston USA - seconded by Wang Computers to help develop modems ( actually the transmission of Data via modems ) and Computerisef Accounting Packages -

I loved USA - still have my Lifetime Visas and Permits - will take me with me when I go - in case I need them at the Pearly Gates ! !!!

Jax

I expect we were likely in the same wine bars - did you walk down to Petticoat Lane lunchtime Fridays - most of the City girls did - to buy new shoes and dresses for the weekend

And chopped liver rolls and real Roll Mops

jax

jax Report 20 Dec 2010 16:50

Of course I did Renes most of my wardrobe came from there, Mansion House that was near Cheapside was'nt it. I remember being into salt beef rolls at one time, was only saying to HID the otherday about the sandwhich bars in the city...not the same anymore all big chains
