I gave up my Gold membership too because I found the images better on ancest*y and it easier to search.

Hope you get to see your girls Jax.

It doesn't take much to crash on here these days, I get logged out and get a white screen quite often.

I feel more for my parents as they are their only grandchildren and they have given them a lot and the eldest cant even be bothered to send them a xmas card. Then again I did get a pressie from her last year but I did pay for it as she still owes me money that I lent her to buy pressies.

I was a bit peed off the other day when she was moaning on FB about not having any money to go out when I had sorted all her debts out for her a couple of months ago.

I have seen them once since last xmas Fans in August when ex bought them down for the day although eldest had driven by my house earlier in the year when she went to southend with her mates.

He's getting there thank Renes.

He loves Janey's pastry and doesn't realize that the shepherd pie has that ever so special mince. Still insists he don't like chicken. If only he knew lol He has managed to shed 2 stone.

TootyFruity Report 17 Dec 2010 22:28

OH has type II diabetes and Ankylosing Sponylitis. His diabetic consultant only wants him to eat chicken or fish (both foods he does not like) no potatoes, pasta, or rice. His rheumatologist has been trying to get him to give up red meat for years.

I put a thread awhile back asking for recipe ideas and Renes and Janey amongst others gave me some great ideas. Printed it off and put in kitchen.

He still insists he doesn't like chicken but does not realize that is what is in his shepherd pie which has cauliflower and broccoli topping.

I'm really pleased for him.

We are having Turkey for Christmas and have said he can have some of the goodies on Christmas Day. But come Boxing day it's back to diet.

My works Christmas Party has been cancelled due to illness. 3/4 of staff have flu so we attending a Viennese Ball at the end of Jan instead.

Thats the problem with these diets I have MS and there are people who stick to a strict no anything as far as I'm concerned diet.
Chicken I'm ok with will not touch any sort of fish or seafood and will not eat green veg as in broccoli, brussels, greens, cabbage cauliflower. so I would starve to death

Please can you post the thread URl on here so I can have a look Toots..?

Cyn>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Slap....Could do with losing 4stone really, but lets not get ahead of meself now..2 will do for starters.
Not keen on pasta or rice anyway,so thats no hardship, but spuds are a different matter..

jax

jax Report 17 Dec 2010 22:50

My diet consists of rice and potato's and all meats not sure if I could give up dairy either or wheat or vodka lol

ja...x

I dont really need to lose any weight at the moment but I have put on at least a stone and a half in the last 2 years, glad I'm not on any meds that normally piles the pounds on

TootyFruity

TootyFruity Report 17 Dec 2010 22:53

I think if it was left to him, he would eat anything but because I am serving it up and he does not realize that it is chicken.

He has discovered he like salmon. It is restrictive but the benefits are good. He hasn't used his wheelchair for awhile and has been using one crutch but having said that he still has really bad days where he doesn't want to move.

It's just swings and roundabouts and you take the rough with the smooth.

There is one called swank that I have heard of but there is no proof any of these diets work for MS anyway as everyone is different, what works for one may not make any difference to another.
I eat all other veg apart from those mentioned
