I have just noticed that today someone who is related as I used to spend christmas's with her has started adding more details she only has 8 children to our gt grandparents wait and see if she suddenly has 15. Not much point in making it private now, I would'nt mind if like her we share the same gt grandparents not some name collector though huh

I always drink fresh orange juice before going to bed after being out or in on the razz.

The theory behind it is it replaces some of the vitamin c depleted by the alcohol. Hardly ever have a hangover

As a non drinker I never ever have had a hangover -

used to be on my " List of things to do before I die "

But I never managed to get past the one and half drinks and instantly

puke it all up - stage

So I moved on to next item on the list

Hangovers ... would that I had the time ...

Actually, now that I'm old, I can't drink more than a glass or two of wine before I feel like puking, too. Never did drink much, not all at once like. And couldn't understand how much some other people could drink -- I'd generally just fall asleep even before getting to the puking stage ...

Anyhow, lucky for me, EastEnders broadcasts are in hiatus for two weeks over Christmas, here. I have had so much work dumped on me to finish before I can get away, I'll be lucky to sleep, let alone find time for catchingup on goings on in the square.

But with my compatriot having deserted you, I will offer Sunday brunch. Some lovely quiche. And no, you demanding you know who person, no bacon. Not something I keep in the house. Ham will have to do. There will also be the non-ham option, with just spinach, red pepper and onion, and of course cheese. I'm out of mushrooms, sorry!

Oooh, maybe you'd like some of my gramma's puke salad with it. It's a Christmas-time delicacy, so yes, I'll whip some up tonight.

It will all be in the fridge; just microwave the quiche if you want it hot, although it's good cold too. Coffee in the dispenser, mugs and teabags and sugar and aspartame above the microwave, tea kettle over the stove, bananas sitting on the washing mashine beside the fridge. I'm out of juice, but I know, I've got lots of bananas and there are strawberries and blueberries in the freezer, so I'll whip you up a smoothie shake thingy.

There you go. You can sleep in, tomorrow being Sunday, and then just hit the fridge and it will be waiting.

RUMSEY John ? (no date or place of birth)
RUMSEY John Henry 1874 Wimborne, Dorset
RUMSEY John Henry ? (no date or place of birth)

Who will look up for me?

We're looking for

John Rumsey, probably John Henry Rumsey
born c1817 in Dorset
who eventually married (or not) a Mary Guinea, who I suspect was of Irish origin and may have been born in India.

They (per censuses) had two sons born in New Jersey in the US in the 1840s. (Whether the sons belonged to one or both of them, who knows?)

I'm thinking he may have been in the military in India. Can't find anything about either of them at FIBIS or the British India site.

Ignore all the bumph at the beginning of that thread, it was a goose chase.

Thank you Janey..I shall be interested in the Smoothie Shake thingy, but think that I shall skip the.."puke salad"somehow, even if it is your Grandmas recipe.

Nice to see you found the time to say hello..
Edits..Now we know why she REALLY dropped by..After our subs again.!

Dea, now, do you even know what puke salad is?!?

Knowing may not help ...

lemon jelly
cottage cheese
mayonnaise
celery
radishes
green onion

It is yummy! Tastes so fresh, and crunchy. It only *looks* like puke, hence my brother christening it puke salad about 40 years ago.

I've never met a girl who didn't like it, but most boys take my dad's approach: No, that's alright, I wouldn't want there to be not enough to go around. ;)

No.1 likes it though. Of course, he's just a girlyman who watches Coronation Street.

Tomorrow is a new day - I am taking the grandchildren to a Christmas party !!

Hope they enjoy it !

Parents have warned me that grandson will 'go wild' and I know that is the case - they took him to a wedding party recently and he escaped out of the revolving door which almost knocked him out !! - He rubed his head and said OOOh that REALLY hurt, then carried on out into the carpark !!

That is just what he is like - an absolute nightmare !

We will both be there to keep hm under control so hopefully he will not escape again ! - He certainly needs 2 people to keep him under control.
