We were forecast snow but it hasn't happened. Bitter cold though. Water main burst on our main road and turned into solid ice. Not gritted so was like a skating rink, pleased I've got traction control.

Need to hit the shops before going to visit mum in St Helens. Hope the snow disappears by Tuesday. Don't fancy driving in the white :-(

Don't worry Toots - you are not the only one.

I started Christmas today but haven't got very far yet!!

Bought my cards but too tired to write them - perhaps tomorrow ??

Just going to order a few prezzies on-line and will worry about the rest tomorrow.

Got a roll of wrapping paper left from last year but grand-daughter will recognise that so I daren't use it !!

The snow is coming again so I might not get out to do any more !

Never mind, it always works out on the day !

I don't use credit cards either. Don't see the point in starting the New Year in debt just for one day.

Only use credit card to buy online because of the insurance element but clear it every month.

Just wish I was more organised.

Going to Mums for Christmas. Normally I have dinner ordered ready for delivery from Tes*o but brother insists that I have to queue in Morr*sons on Christmas Eve. My idea of hell

But it will be ok on the day

Hi All

No snow here - but needed a cardigan on when shopping this morning -

So know how you feel

That snow had better go before I come over in Jan -

Posted last of my cards today - feeling so pleased with myself last Mon

Posted all my cards - thought that's great - then late Mon remembered one I had forgotten - then OH says "have you send one to my brother" - and then he says "oh what about so and so -" -

So now I really have finished - everyones !!!!

Whereabouts in St. Helens Toots? I lived there many moons ago.

Hi Ja...x - you sound as excited as me about Christmas.....roll on January....think I'll go to that party with MC.

Dea, she won't possibly remember the wrapping paper....don't go making work for yourself love.

Only use a credit card to buy things like the tv. otherwise it's debit card or cash with a close eye on the balance at the bank.

Fans......keep schtum please. Daughter has just said it's really snowing now......arghhh and it's all your fault......gorn right orf you I have.

Cynthia - She DOES remember the wrapping paper!!, and the tags, AND, everything else - she is a very 'astute' child !!

She tells me things like - that paper is too young for Liam (her brother), he had it on presents last year when he was a baby !!!

I don't know how she does it but she takes everything in !

Santa's writing last year looked just like mine ?? - AND he had the same wrapping paper as I did?

I have to be SO careful !

I think many families will use credit to buy toys and goodies for Christmas - some of the trolleys I used to see in the supermarkets loaded up with food are ridiculus for what used to be a 2 day holiday amazed me

OH and I always used to go away for Xmas - on a cruise or hotel - so I used to go in supermarket a couple of days before christmas to but eggs bread bacon cheese etc for when we came home

When I was queuing amidst all the huge trollies laden down - could feel every one thinking - Oh that poor woman - only bacon and eggs for Xmas dinner " ! !!!

I've just had enough now. What is it a week before Christmas and 14 yr old daughter finally tells me what they are doing over that weekend, she did actually say I could see her maybe the other daughter too if HID picks them up from their aunts 25 miles away.

I spent 8 years doing a 200 mile trip every fortnight to see theses children and it seems too much for the ex to return the favour and bring them to me and we have always been on good terms in the past aghhh

Now FB has got stuck and can't do anything
