We were supposed to drive to Petworth tomorrow for Christmas celebration with grandson.
We have decided it is not safe to go.
I do hope we are allowed an alternative day.
Have just heard they are moving him to Portsmouth soon.
That is so far away.

Tsk JC
Get yourself to that ophthalmologist straight away.
You do not want further damage.

OH is going in Christmas Eve for a couple of hours so people can collect before Christmas.

I am supposed to be working on my own Monday but I am not going to do it by train even if they are running.

I am a big girl and I fall hard.

I already have problems with my hip.

Falling is painful for all of us - and even with non slip boots /shoes it is so easily done - and the consequences are not worth inconveniencing a customer for a couple of days

Everyone understands

Thought this was amusing

What Religion is Your Bra?

A man walked into the ladies department of Myer's and shyly walked up to

the woman behind the counter and said,

'I'd like to buy a bra for my wife. '

' What type of bra?'

asked the clerk.

'Type?' inquires the man, 'There's more than one type?'
' Look around,'

said the saleslady,

as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, colour

and material imaginable.

'Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose from .'

Relieved, the man asked about the types.

The saleslady replied:

'There are the Catholic,

the Salvation Army,

the Presbyterian,

and the Baptist types.

Which one would you prefer?'

Now totally befuddled,

the man asked about the differences between them.

The Saleslady responded,

'It is all really quite simple. .

The Catholic type supports the masses;
The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen;

The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright;
The Baptist type makes mountains out of molehills.'

Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, and H are the letters used

to define bra sizes?

If you have wondered why,

but couldn't figure out what the letters stood for, it is about time you became informed!

(A} Almost Boobs...
{B} Barely there...
{C} Can't complain!...
{D} Dang!...
{DD} Double dang!...
{E} Enormous!...
{F} Fake...
{G} Get a Reduction...
{H} Help me, I've fallen

and I can't get up!...

Send this to all that will appreciate it!

They forgot the German bra.

Breakfast at Ginny's and brunch at Janey's - spoilt for choice now! Toast first I think and then move on later for some quiche - the ham one of course! Coffee at both.

That Fans won't be up in time for any of it....hahaha

Hope you can get your date sorted LK - this weather is causing probs and disappointments for so many people. Do take care though, it really isn't worth risking a fall.

Heard our boiler making ominous noises last night about 11.30. Went to check and yes, the error message was flashing away.

"Dearie me" ???? I said.

Climbed into trousers, boots and jacket, gathered brush and trudged round the side of the house to check the condensation pipe. Couldn't see any icicles so went in again. Had another thought and fetched torch. Shone it up the pipe and yes, a wodge of ice was blocking it.

A couple of good thwacks and out it popped with a load of water which had been building up behind it. Sorted. Went back to bed at midnight!

ja...x the three letter poster sent me a pm just before I went to bed. Could I help find someone in the Birmingham area? Er....sorry no. Ask on the boards. Reply: Not sure how to do it - knows they've done it before but have forgotten how! Would try again. Obviously the memory returned.

Am just debating if I can dig tyre tracks to back the car onto the main road. Hmmmmm.

More icicles on pipe - must go and fetch my trusty broom!

EDIT. Love the jokes ja...x The German bra I heard about was called a Dieselstopmfloppun!

Gee Report 19 Dec 2010 09:36

Cyns

You and your bolier......cant you wrap the pipe with bubble wrap to protect it from the ice?

Odd caus my tumble dryer has started with the E17 error message....means outlet is either blocked or twisted!

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 19 Dec 2010 10:41

I cant afford a tumble drier,so no probs with mine..
Cyn.....^ yours, you sound just like my ruddy mother..:0)P
Just because I choose not to come on here at silly o clock in the morning does NOT mean I am still in bed..
Fried spud, egg and a slice of fried bread ,cooked in light olive oil is what I had just now,and very nice it was too..
Goodbye.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 19 Dec 2010 11:22

Ignoring Fans.

Gins.....the pipe is about 12' from the ground. I have to stand on tiptoe waving the broom around like a madwoman to reach it! There's no way I can get up there to reach it.......need a strong young man! hahaha

The condensation in your outlet pipe will probably have frozen - cor, that sounds painful!! lol

My tumble drier is in my little ironing place outside. Just going to tramp through the snow to see if it is okay.

Usually out on a Sunday as you know but am unable to go........arrgghhh don't like it.

EDIT: Meant to say that I know Fans isn't religious, but I'm sure she values her Catholic bra.
