Hi girls
Welcome Nadine. I'm new myself but have found this a friendly bunch of crafters!!
Have just come back from lunch with 2 friends - had tappas. Never had them before, but thoroughly enjoyed them - didn't do my waistline much good though.
Have just ordered a wedding scrap book kit from QVC. Am going to put one together for my daughter as a surprise (she's not having a photographer, so all the photos will be those we take on the day).
Can't wait for it to arrive and long to get started on it, but that won't be until the end of Feb at earliest. Never mind, will have to content myself with card making in the meantime - what a hardship!!!!

Happy birthday Carol hope you have had a lovely day with lots of cards.

Welcome Nadine, hope you enjoy your time with us.

We had lunch out today too Sue only we went to the pizza Hut, mainly for convenience as we were in that area having several errands around there after meeting friends for coffee at a garden centre.

Hallo,
At last I have managed to find this site. I know now that I am still sane. Had my doubts for a little while!!!!
Johan's cough is getting better. Actually sounds exactly like the one I had when I came back from England last October. It also lasts so long.
It is so nice to be reminded of one's own birthday on this site. Good job they don't add our age, as I don't want to be reminded of that at the moment.
Well all the Xmas decorations are now packed away. We had the usual little quarrel whilst doing so. I had packed everything and the other half thought I had packed some little envelopes etc. of his so unpacked everything again. I was livid, to put it mildly. I went out shopping and lo and behold everything was tidied up when I returned. How empty everything now looks. I treated myself to some beautiful white roses and pink tulips to take away the emptiness.
The poor Xmas tree shed all its needles over my sitting room floor. Fortuntely my help Anita comes tomorrow and she can vacuum the room and also clean the windows. Almost Spring in the air when you hear the temperatures are so high.
I have sent an e-mail to Nadine, but will reiterate what others have said and say "Welcome to the friendly bunch of girls". As I was saying to Johan, we all call each other by our Christian names and don't think about ages!
Glad you are on the mend Jill, get moving now with your cards.

glad you found us again sylvia. have you book marked this thread? While you have it open click on bookmark this at the bottom of the list on the left hand side. Then to find us you just click on my book marks and it should be there for you without having to go all the way down the pages.

I bought myself some deep pinky mauve tulip today for the same reason as you. everywhere looks so drab when the decorations are put away.

Morning everyone, I sent out yesterday details of our new member Nadine and an up to date spread sheet XL and word. Can you please check that you have received it and let me know. It helps us to know that we have the correct email address for you.

I really do not like it once the decorations are down, as you say everywhere looks drab, still will get used to it again soon, well I hope I will. If not might start decorating again!!!!
Hope you are all OK.

We had terrible gales last night and torrential rain, then it all froze solid!!

Hello Girls
A big `Thank You` for my Birthday Cards, they were all lovely and I really enjoyed opening them all.I had a lovely Birthday and finished it off with a bit of `Retail Therapy` which I enjoyed as I have had a virus that has lasted nearly 4 weeks and really put a damper on Christmas and the New Year.
Hope you are all well and thank you again.

Hallo all,
Well here I am alive and well. Every day I receive a few birthday cards, all exceptionally well made. I wonder whether I will receive 30? Who knows.
Johan has had a nose bleed the whole day and my granddaughter Linda has taken him to the doctors. Linda came to borrow our car for tomorrow as she has been posted to Hilversum for a day. She is learning to be a manageress in a shop a bit like W.H. Smith in England.
I had been telling Johan all day to go to the doctors but he didn't, and now I am pleased that Linda told him to go too.
Johan is now back and they have put a prop in his nose, but it is bleeding through the prop. Will have to contact the doctors again tomorrow. Now we have no car either.
I suppose it will all sort itself out.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Nadine, nice to see you posting here, hope you are well.

Sylvia, how is Johan today, hope his nose bleed has stopped and he is not feeling too washed out.

Carole pleased to hear that you had lots of cards and that the virus is now getting better.

Why do I have no inspiration for making cards, think someone should organise a course for giving inspiration!! LOL

Afternoon each!

Good idean Jo Jo. I've spent weeks trying to inspire myself to make my daughter's wedding card. Done it now, but oh! I was in a quandry. (I'm posting the cheque today, by the way, JoJo).

Have a nice day everyone.

Hello everyone, got on here at last. Broadband has been down all day until now. Think it might be the high winds caused it or something?

Anyway, almost finished a page for the scrap book of my granddaughter, pleased with it so far. Written a couple of letters and emptied and taken down kitchen shelves prior to decorating. house is now in a state of chaos downstairs. found lots of little spice jars (half full) to throw out. No smell and past sell by date. They were buried under other jars etc. on the shelves. washed everything so it can go back up as soon as the wall is dry.

Better get on now. Hope Johan's nose bleed is better Sylvia.

Hi all,
Well Johan slept in a chair in a sitting position all night after Linda (granddaughter) brought him back from the emergency surgery with a prop in his nose.
I phoned the doctor this morning because the prop had not helped and his nose was still bleeding. A couple of years ago he had the same problem and they kept him in hospital for 5 days.
Anyway the doctor sent him to the ear, nose and throat specialist and one of my neighbours took him. I went out shopping and when I came back found Johan had also returned home.He has now a prop of 10 cm (last night the prop was 5 cm).We will have to have his blood checked as it is only a few weeks ago that he had to have extra blood and now he has been losing blood again.
I won't be posting tomorrow LOL
JoJo you make beautiful cards so the inspiration is definitely there. Sometimes I begin a card not knowing exactly what I am going to do and it turns out well.

Sylvia have a really lovely birthday.

Glad the card arrived safe, you just never know with the post. I need inspiration to make different styles of cards, mine are mostly the same.
Hope Johan is OK and he doesn't need more blood, it makes you feel so weak when you loose such a lot also affects the blood pressure.

Jill glad to see you up and about at least you managed to get out and buy some bargains. We could all do with ski jackets here it is so cold again.

Like you Ann when I cleared my kitchen out completely, it was surprising what I found!!

Welcome, Nadine, we are a happy bunch.
