Anne, that is the problem with some crafting bits, if you have the time to shop around you can always find them cheaper than QVC, only difference is that QVC allow you to try them and then return so for something you are not quite sure whether you would like it is then a good way. Create and Craft charge so much P&P that it only pays to buy from then when they have a craft day with free P&P, must admit I stocked up on the last day with glues and tapes.

That was a lot of cards Heather. But then again I know I made a 200 for 2 different charities and 50 Christmas cards for charity, plus family, friends and of course the Birthday Girl cards!! so not as many as you.
Everyone have a lovely day, so sunny here at the moment, hope it lasts for a bit.

Hi all,
I hope my new prescription comes tomorrow in the post from the urologist as I have been having really bad pain. I've never cried so much in pain. I've also got some cranberries to take. I was drinking cranberry juice but somebody said I should take the tablets so I am. I will try anything as I am that desperate now.
We had a shower of rain here today but I didn't go out. Johan went to my granddaughter but I didn't feel like going. I would like to have gone as she is going away for a week to Eindhoven to celebrate Carnival. She will understand.
I can phone her later this evening.
My help is coming tomorrow as she couldn't come today. Next week she is havig a small operation on her knee so will have to take another girl.
I've been making heaps of girls, from "birth of baby" to "condolence", "get better" etc.etc. keeps my mind sane!

Hi all,
Thanks for your messages and advice. Today hasn't been too bad as pain goes. Our postal service at the moment is terrible, having to rely on housewives to sort and deliver mail. Our post has been coming at around 4.00 pm. I was getting worried as the chemist closes at 5.00 pm. Well I have the tablets and have an idea they are the same ones as I have had before. What with these and the cranberry tablets I should be better. Anyway I have promised to go out shopping tomorrow as the neighbour on the third floor is non too well and her husband had a stroke some time ago so like to help whenever I can.
The weather forecast is not very favourable though so don't suppose there will be many stalls on the market - gale force winds etc.etc. - a bit like you in the uk are getting. Nice to share our weather isnt it???????????????
My trusty help in the house came today and we did some extra jobs. It is liking having a third daughter as I can say anything to her.
I've made lots and lots of cards now so if anybody wants to buy some they can.
Have some things to sort out now whilst I feel ok. It is surprising how behind my paperwork gets when I am not feeling well.
Have a nice evening.

Thank you all for my beautiful birthday cards. They are all on display in my lounge and are much admired. I took them to show my 91 year old Mother-in-Law today and she asked me to tell you that you are all "clever clogs!" :o)

My two cardmaking grandaughters (aged 9 & 10) examined each card in minute detail and have invited themselves here at the weekend to have a "copying session"! ;o)

I had a lovely day surrounded by my family. My 2 daughters and my daughter-in-law laid on a lovely spread at my elder daughter's house - and I had 2 birthday cakes! One even had sparklers on :o) and the other was in the shape of a hedgehog. There was just enough left to take a piece to M-in-L today after all the grandchildren (and my brother, the biggest kid of all at 56!) had had their share.

Thank you all again

Sue

Hi all,
Well where is everybody? I know Jill is in Canada, but then the rest of you, come out and speak for yourselves. Me, well I've been a bit miserable for a couple of weeks, but the new tablets seem to be stopping the pain, so here's hoping. My hairdresser gave me a fright last Friday when she said my hair was falling out. Well, I had noticed it was a bit thinner - a bit, you would think I had been to the kinky hairdressers where my granddaughter goes to! Anyway, went to my doctor again today and she said the last anti-biotic medicine I had from the urologist possibly caused the hair fall out. I was all set out to go and buy a blonde wig. Anyway I have some special gel and must wash my hair twice a week and go back to the doctor over a month.
I have made heaps of cards because I didn't feel like doing anything else.
Hope we hear soon about the ATC cards as I have time now and could begin.

hello everyone. Sylvia, glad you are beginning to feel better. Hope the gel does its work on your hair.

It has been a strange day here today for the weather. More like April albeit very cold. sunshine and showers all afternoon, lights on, lights off. very dark now but then it is five past five. actually has everyone noticed it is getting dark a lot later, thank goodness. Not made any cards for a few days been busy turning out cupboards and throwing stuff out. Threw out a load of old photo albums which has baby photos in of an ex neighbours son - she is now in Australia and son is 20!!! I still must have about 50 photo albums in the top cupboard of the wardrobe in OH's office/smallest bedroom.

Evening girls,

Sorry to hear you have been feeling down Sylvia, hopefully now the tablets are getting in your system you will start to feel much better soon xx
Quite a few years ago, after losing my Dad & sister all in the space of a year, my hair started falling out.The doctor said it was due to stress, although I didn't think I was stressed out at the time, anyway, I got a spray serum from the chemist, my lush thick locks soon came back.Hope yours do too.
And just for you Sylvia -
