Hi All

Well my visitors have left - should have been on UK soil about 16.20 and have a couple of hours drive to home - so suspect you all will hear from Fans fairly soon - she has missed her internet

We have photos to put up on FB - will send the to Fans and then put them up over weekend

Fans is loaded down with preaches and goodies for everyone - hope they all survive the flight

Gee Report 10 Dec 2010 18:53

Apart from me Renes, staff sorted everything but of course the programmes that I was teaching have been postponed

I can work from home too as I have access to everything via the internet but to be quite honest everywhere has been very quiet this last two weeks

The neighbour that was clearing the roads the other day has done ALL the ones around our area and today he had a council grit lorry following him....bless him

..and they say the young people are all hoodies!

Gee

Gee Report 10 Dec 2010 18:55

Dea

That's my spell "know all checker " again - I typed prezzies

It corrected it to pressure - I retyped prezzies and it must have changed it again to preachers

Any loaded down with prezzies

Oh that great Gins - read that you cancelled a couple of courses -

My sister was 60 today and she is an executive officer for County Council

Whilst at work today - she answered her telephone in her best CC voice

And some said in a extremely strong Australian accent

" Good daaay. me rotten ole cobber - who da you think you are """

She replied - I beg your pardon - with an even posher CC voice

And then realised it was our sister telephoning from Melborne !!

Wasn't that lovely for her - don't you think

I REALLY hate 'automatic spell-checkers' !!

Years ago, I typed out a referral letter to a Hospital Specialist about a lady who had suffered a 'torn meniscus' (knee damage) - The 'stupid thing said I was referring her because of a 'torn mini-skirt' !!! (Not exactly a medical emergency ??)

Another time, sending a letter about a lady in her second pregnancy, I wrote to the Specialist who 'saw her through' the first, asking him to see this lady 'who's first child was delivered under your care' (It changed it to 'who's first child was delivered under your CAR !!!!!!!! ) - What a picture !!

I always turn them off as they a a real pain !!

nudging for Desiree!!!!

Renes

Renes Report 10 Dec 2010 19:50

My spell checker is only on my IPod and I cannot find how to turn it off

I don't have one on my lap top - the problem is this is a Spanish spellchecker and it has learnt load of words - but it will re correct several times even if I knock off its choice

Still keeps me on my toes

No I hav'nt knocked down any brick walls yet Renes if only you knew lol

I do prefer working on my own at times especially with confused people, but sometimes its nice to say "Thats enough" and let someone else carry on.

Oh your spell checking letters had me giggling Dea while tears were running down my face as I was watching corrie
